Sagepaw (Viktor) makes it back to camp tired and annoyed at Goldenpaw (Jayce) who trails behind him wearily. "Sagepaw I know you're mad at me but can you at least let me clean you? You smell.. wrong" Sagepaw flicks his tail in irritation. "We'll talk tomorrow, Goldenpaw. It's late, my leg is killing me and I'm exhausted" Sagepaw sighs "I'm going to drink some water and then I'm going to sleep. Just go to bed"

Goldenpaw apparently interpreted this suggestion form Sagepaw incorrectly as Sage returns to his den to find Golden laying in his nest. Incredulous, Sagepaw slams his paws on Golden's side, to shake him awake "I meant your own bed! Not mine!" Sagepaw whispers. Goldenpaw is shocked at the concept of not sharing a nest with Sage "WHAT?! NO!!!" he yells

One way or another, Goldenpaw has gotten his way, as we see him nuzzling Sage's cheek while squishing him with his weight as they share Sage's nest. Jayce purrs as Sage cracks an eye open to insist "We still need to have a serious talk tomorrow". Too tired to argue with goldenpaw right now, Sage goes to sleep.

The next day, Sagepaw presents Goldenpaw an ultimatum. "Alright here's what's going to happen. You're going to be on your BEST BEHAVIOUR. That wasy you'll be invited to the next gathering, where you'll talk to Frostpaw and apologise." "BUT-" Goldenpaw is immediately averse to the idea but Sagepaw is quick to insist. "NO Goldenpaw. You agree to do this or I won't talk to you for a whole moon instead. It's your choice." Goldenpaw looks conflicted, his gaze shifting to the side as he decides "...Fine. I'll talk to him".

Part 2 of 2. Yeah Vik was not in the mood to talk but Jayce is persistant and heavy. I will make another part soon to show how Jayce's 'apology' to Dmitri goes. The last drawing isjust the sketch coloured in because I got tired, sorry! #jayvik #warriors

Sagepaw (Viktor) is at a gathering with Frostpaw (Dmitri) and Speckledpaw (Sky). Goldenpaw (Jayce) wasn't invited to the gather due to bad behaviour. Sage sees Frostpaw laying on a log, looking defeated with scratches all across his face. "Oh my! Frostpaw! What happened?!" Frostpaw sighs "A little shit of an apprentice attacked me, that's what happened friend..." "Wh- What?" Sky, from inside the log Frostpaw is atop of, reasures Sage "He's still a little sore about it, don't mind him"

"He didn't even give me a chance to explain myself", Frostpaw complains offscreen "Just went straight into attack mode... Whatever. That's the last time I go hunting on land. I've always prefered fishing anyways" Sage in the foreground realises who it is who attack Frostpaw, feeling a mix of embarassment, frustration and dread. He closes his eyes, remembering Goldenpaw bragging about attacking another apprentice in the woods a while ago. 'Goldenpaw when I catch you...' "Sagepaw are you alright? You look like you've eaten a bad frog" Frostpaw notes. Speckledpaw also chimes in off screen "Oh... Frostpaw's right. You do look a little pale Sage! Do you want to go home early?"

Sage turns his head away from his friends, ears pulled back and tail lashing, furious at Goldenpaw and stuggling to contain himself "Oh nono. I'm fffine" Frostpaw lifts himself from his laying position, concern clear on his face, reaching out his forepaw. "Is it my face? I don't mean to make you worry, Sagepaw! I was just complaining for complaining's sake." Speckledpaw has also gotten up, looking equally concerned at Sagepaw. "I can check to see if you have a fever!" "I'm seriously fine! Don't worry," Sagepaw insists "I'm very sorry that happened to you Frostpaw. Let's just relax and take our minds off of such things"

Further into the night the three friends lay together, Frostpaw happily licking Sage's cheek whilst telling a funny story "-And then Houndstar showed up COVERED in mud! It was hilarious." Speckledpaw concurs, leaning into Sagepaw smiling wide. "You should have seen his face. He was sooo embarassed, even Bristlescratch was laughing" This probably was a very funny story, but Sagepaw is very much distracted, looking off to the side, worried about the logistics of Goldenpaw meeting his other friends in future. 'So much for introducing Goldenpaw to the friend group...'

Also, that cat who Jayce fought was Dmitri. This is the beginning of their mutual hatred for eachother. Followup coming soon on this!

He believes in judging people by the content of their character and not by the circumstances of their birth. I want that to be something Jayce interiorizes before his father dies and he is given a new mentor, Cassandra, who completely rebukes those ideals.

Usually cats who are related can't be mentors but I just think that Jayce's Dad would be a positive influence for Jayce, especially in encouraging him to go for what he wants in life, (a relationship with Sage). Jayce's dad is mates with Ximena, an outsider. He does not care.

Some extra info, if you'd like it:
Jayce's dad reveal! Not sure about his name, but I'd like for his suffix to be heart so that Jayce has that in common with him. Jayce's dad is deputy of the clan and also becomes Jayce's mentor.

Chubby 2 month old kitten Goldenkit (Jayce) looks up smiling at Sagekit (Viktor) who is slightly taller than him at 3 months old. Golden grows immediately attatched to Sage, thinking he is a guardian angel and wants to become friends right away. Sage is more apprehensive as he is not used to anyone wanting anything to do with him. "You're so cool Sagekit! I can't believe you have magical powers! You have to show me how you use them." Goldenkit says enthusiastically "I don't actually have-" Golden interups him "My papa told me that medicine cats like you can see the future and talk to ghosts & other things too!" Sagekit fidgets "I guess in a way, but it's not nearly as cool and you're making it sound..."

At 3 months old Goldenkit is already larger, crouching down to eagerly present a gift to his friend. "I know you like herbs, so I got these for you, Sagekit!" Singedpelt is sat next to his apprentice, tail wrapped protectively around him, an unimpressed look trained on Goldenkit. "That is grass, child" he scoffs. 4 month old Sagekit is taken aback, pleasantly surprised that anyone would gift him anything, even these half chewed blades of grass. "For me? Really?"

At five months old Goldenkit is approached by his father, a large tabby tom with several scars and a torn left ear. Golden's dad is aware of his crush on Sage and encourages it, finding it cute. "How about we sneak out of camp and get started on some early hunting training?" he offers his eager son. "Yes!" Goldenkit shouts. "We have to keep it a secret though!" Golden's father insists, fully aware Goldenkit will imediately tell Sagepaw. 'I can't wait to tell Sagepaw' Golden thinks. After the his first successsful hunting session Goldenkit confidently walks alongside Sagekit. "Sagepaw! My dad took me out hunting for the first time today and I caught this for you!" Goldenkit lifts his head showing off a vole held in his maw. "What? Oh Goldenkit, that's very kind of you, but don't you want to give it to your mother, perhaps?" Sage is flattered but doesn't know how to accept such a generous gift. "Mama doesn't like a vole, but I know you do! If it makes you feel better, we can share," Goldenkit insists. "Well...I won't say no to a meal with my friend" Sagepaw aquieces

At 7 moons old Sagepaw cleans a bleeding wound at Jayce's eyebrow, exasperated with his friend. "Not even a full moon into your training and you're already picking fights..." Sagepaw mews in disbelief. Goldenpaw scoffs "That other cat was practically begging for it. He crossed into OUR territory" "Your father told me the other cat was chasing a squirrel when he bumped into you, Goldenpaw. It may have been an honest mistake" Sagepaw insists. "Yeah, well next time I'm sure he'll stay more aware of his surroundings" Goldenpaw says smugly, thinking he's impressing Sagepaw, but truly only pissing him off further. Sagepaw cannot believe him "At this point, you'll never be invited to a gathering, you fool."

Here are some #jayvik #warriorcats au kitten moments! I love drawing them when they were younger, they're too cute. I think Goldenkit (Jayce) was a chubby kitten that started a little smaller than Sagekit (Viktor) but QUICKLY grew far bigger. Also Jayce's dad reveal (Moons=months btw)
