Qing is an also active participant in Chinese debates on social justice, gender equality and climate. She has one million followers on Weibo, China’s equivalent of twitter, where her influence is recognized with multiple awards, including “top 100 young thinkers”.

Qing has interviewed many world’s leading thinkers, including Noam Chomsky, Bill Gates, Svetlana Alexievich and Slavoj Zizek. She has emerged as one of China’s preeminent interviewers of global intellectuals.

Qing currently leads The Weirdo Podcast (不合时宜), one of China’s most popular podcasts. The podcast addresses current affairs inside and outside China with a feminist and progressive angle.

Qing Wang (王磬) is an independent journalist, podcaster and social media influencer from China. She is committed to helping the world understand China, and China the world, especially Europe.
