29.08.2025 02:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The β4Kβ setting in the S50 is actually upscaling or drizzle. I like the resultsβ¦more fine detail. The M31 shot is a mosaic of 9 panels, so it is technically a 10 minute exposure. Iβm still in alt/az mode, so when I can go equatorial itβll be even better and faster.

Open cluster M46. The blue nebula above and left of center is behind the cluster, not in it. Iβm just an enthusiastic beginner.

Barred Spiral galaxies M108 almost edge on, and M109. Light pollution from my neighborsβ window. Gotta make a longer dew sheild. 108 is about 46 million light years away, while 109 is more like 67 million light years away.

M35 above NGC 2158. M35 is about 2,800 light years distant, while 2158 is 16,000 light years from us, and much older as well. SeeStar S50 from my backyard, processed in my iPhone.

28.01.2025 17:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0First attempt at a mosaic, the Flaming Star Nebula IC 405, 1,500 light years away. Probably not the best move taking a mosaic of a faint object as you end up with 1/9 of the exposure time. Whatever, I was asleep most of the time anyway! Thereβs a bit of light pollution in the lower left.
