I think he's watched "Swingers" (1996) a few too many times...

So he's a physician now. Cool...

I doubt universally. Humans are too tribal to agree on anything. But I imagine there will be enough demand to make these things mainstream. So many people like pushing the button, so to speak. Im not aware of a technology that we as humans have said, no, that is a bridge too far.

Thanks so much for the kind words and for taking the time to read my story! Neural implants already exist (Neuralink Synchron etc), although they're basically in the infancy stage. It's likely just a matter of time before they become affordable and mainstream.

Sorry to hijack your post, but I've been wanting to say how much I enjoyed "Her Tongue Was Weighted With Salt." Sooooo creepy and full of foreshadowing. Gets better with every read!

Russia has been looking for a pretext(s) to make this accusation, but unfortunately for them, there are none. Baiting the West with drone and jet incursions hasn't worked. And Russian officials are once again ratcheting up nuclear threats. All because their war machine is losing steam. Damn shame.
