Richard Hawley warming souls on a very autumnal Saturday night.
I went on Friday - a special night. Really enjoyed it - an atmospheric venue and a great set: Hawley and the band were in great form. Lots of great and funny in-between songs chat too - so much so that he ran out of time and had to drop the last track: Heart of Oak… Glad you enjoyed it.

Well, that was truly special - @richardhawley.bsky.social in Regent’s Park, performing the Coles Corner album and more, with his band and a string section. A wonderful and emotional night - Coles Corner is one of my favourite albums. I saw Hawley on the original tour, 20 years ago.

Sad to read about the death of legendary acoustic bass player, Danny Thompson - he lived not too far from me, and he kindly agreed to put in an appearance at Chapter Two in Chesham, when I hosted a Nick Drake book night there in late 2023. It was a special night: great memories. #dannythompson
