Like you're probably not really going down (Villa), you don't think you're quite a CL team yet anyway (Spurs), so why not go for it rather than defend the lead? Might be a bit cynical and that's just the style/philosophy, but something I've been thinking about!

Perhaps you're right, Asmita hasn't been in the U23s since 2023 (she's also aged out now). But Wiegman's bought other players "in from the cold" like Hinds, Fisk, George, etc, so it's hard for me to fully get on board with that logic.

Wiegman was at United vs LCL on Sunday. I don't want to get into conspiracy theories but that's all I have left - she was also at our game against Villa the weekend before Kendall got her call up. Is it just whoever she saw last?

I will say I think Ruby Mace is extremely unlucky not to return to the senior team as well. I know she's been playing CB and we can't move for CBs but she's perfectly capable of slotting back into DM if needed surely.

Azzy has really stepped up this season, is a key player and has demonstrated her versatility by being solid in two different defensive positions, something which is clearly valued in the England setup.

Can anyone explain this to me? Am I biased? Losing my mind?

What really irks me is it's this kind of thing that will make players not want to come and play for the likes of Leicester. Consistent playing time and performance should be rewarded, no?

It's clear the club have decided this is a rebuild season rather than a progress one, due to the relegation playoff. I think that's incredibly risky, and if it backfires it'll be really sad and frustrating. But we're not the only ones that have approached the season like this.

We've seen too many times what happens if you're too open against the top attacking teams. Recruitment-wise, I think given where we are we've had the most sensible approach available to us. Could we do with a few upgrades? Almost certainly. But unfortunately we have to stay in the league first.

Yeah I've calmed down now. 😅 They have so much talent, everything's clicking, wounded animal from last week, etc. Even if Lehmann or O'Brien's chances went in I genuinely think the response would've been similar. They just had too much for us. We were a bit naive and a bit too open at times.

I think she was starting to look a bit one dimensional, possibly still mentally one foot in the Taylor system where her job was mainly get to the by line and put a cross in to Bunny. Jeggy-ball seems to have kicked in and she's mixing it a bit more.

Potentially, it's very much pick your poison if you're choosing which of your forwards to try and shut down 😅 plus Mayling has looked brightest out of WBs since she came in, and apparently our manger decided this was a free hit and fuck our GD, so guess we were happy to commit her forward

Helps when the opposing team decides to give her the entire Greater Manchester area of space to run into, but yes, she was particularly good ☠️
