I wonder how both Moe and Smith would feel if PM Carney came out saying that the natural resources in AB and SK are Canadian, not theirs.

With all of his bluster about banning “cash grab speed cameras” I can’t help thinking that Premier Ford - or a close family member - may have got himself a speeding ticket recently.

I’m getting pretty sick of right wing politicians implying the left need to get better at hearing things they don’t agree with as a cure for the political division and violence of the modern age.

Listening to Danielle Smith on #CBC #FrontBurner this morning was painful. If she spoke about every topic the way she spoke about oil and gas, she’d be a lot more compelling.

Her misinformation about puberty blockers and trans youth was awful.

As were her comments about Charlie Kirk.

Do better

But then, what else can you expect from someone who uses the very tools Mr. Kirk used to rise to prominence - rhetoric, delivery, debate skills, logical fallacies?

When we ask the big questions, PP does not have anything but simplistic answers and/or slogans.

With hearing things they disagree with.

While I agree, partially, with his response his irresponsibility in assigning motive to the killer prior to *any* investigation starting speaks volumes.

As does his reductive take on how to end political violence…

When asked for how we can end political violence, he answered that people need to get better at dealing…

If you’re currently angry that there are too many immigrants taking (below market wages) jobs away from your country’s youth and citizens then the propaganda has worked.

It’s the below market wage jobs.

We have multiple provinces with historic wildfires. Multiple provinces under their third or fourth heat warnings this summer already. West Nile virus showing up in southern Canada.

Recognising Palestine is performative at best - even with the conditions. Without removing the illegal Israeli settlements and a recognition of Israel’s historial annexation of Palestinian territory and war crimes - up to present day - this will do little to ease tensions in the region IMHO.

The last day of the school year for many.

This is from CBC. Who takes over the dept. for education for failing to make decisions that does not support student success by increasing class sizes, mandating tech education and online courses, and failing to support students with appropriate funding.

Cool. The provincial govt just took over my school board.

Years of underspending on education put us in this position. I have no hope - none - that they will be do anything to solve the problems they’ve foisted on us.
