A ★★★ review of Wicked (2024) I do love a musical and I do love a long film, but I knew nothing of Wicked and regard the happy face jazz hands of musical theatre to be a tooth pulling exercise so I went into this with some trepida...

I went to see Wicked yesterday and while there are some hugely impressive technical and design work in there, I found the whole thing to be corporate and sterile and missing any genuine emotions. boxd.it/83aLBz Erivo was very good but I was muddled by Grande’s characters motivations.
