Maybe… I’ve become too strong

The fifth of my hourly comics. Caption: "4 - 5 PM" A small floating head of Jaunt asks, from the bottom left, "Do you think you're making your comics too detailed?" On the right, I am nestled back against a pillow in my pajamas. My knees are raised and I am hunched over my tablet, which I'm holding against them. My face is buried so close to my tablet that only one manic eye is visible. I respond, "I don't know how to stop."

Comic for 6PM. Caption: "MY TABLET PEN DIES." The comic depicts a straight-on view of an iPad alert of some battery dying. On the screen is also a notification that says "You can ink them later, bro" with the options "Okay" and "Okay."

Comic for 7PM One panel. Text in the top left of the panel reads "It's ~5°F (-15°C) out." The art in the panel depicts me to the left in a large square winter coat; my hands are only hinted at by tips of fingers reaching out of the sleeves, my face is hidden in a furry hood, and my legs come out just enough to bend in a trot behind Jaunt. Jaunt is in a lighter-looking coat with his hood down and a hat with a pom-pom. He walks along steadily and without much expression. In the silhouette of a car in the foreground is text that reads, "In my 2020 hourly comics, it took me 3x as many layers to be half this warm."

Comics for 8PM and 9PM. 8PM: 1 panel. A 3/4 low angle of me lying back, facing up and to the right. My shirt is open and I'm not wearing my glasses. Instead, I have tight spirals for eyes, a squiggly mouth, and hatchmarks on my visible ear. There's a spiral dancing from my forehead. Text to the top right reads, "Ears got cold & I got DIZZY." "Dizzy" is underlined twice. 9PM: 1 Panel The panel depicts me and Jaunt sitting together on the couch. Jaunt is laying back with his elbow on a pillow, his glasses removed to expose his long eyelashes. His hair has sparkles in it again. He looks flatteringly enfeebled. To the right sits me, drawn less flatteringly, with a parenthetical frowny face as I hunch over my tablet to continue drawing. In speech balloons above us, Jaunt says, "So tiiiiiiiiired..." and I reply, "I'm not ready for bedtime." Presumably I go to bed just thereafter.

Comic caption: 2AM. Panel 1: I (the glasses figure) is crocheting something very small with yellow yarn, having to hold the work close to my face and hunch over it. There are lines on either side of my dot eyes to indicate I'm a little frantic, or tired. A speech bubble coming from me reads, "Okay Little Guy, let me know how this fits." Panel 2: Little Guy (@littleguyofficial.bsky.social), a tiny ET-faced creature with a chubby round body and wearing a hoodie, stands with his arms out for balance and one foot raised, looking down to see how the tiny crochet project fits his foot so far. He seems content with it.

Comic 3: "3 PM" This comic is an un-inked sketch layer and much messier in its linework than the previous two comics. It depicts me lying in bed, shriveled into a skeletal husk. My teeth and cheekbones are exposed, my eyes are mere horizontal hatches, and my nose is bleeding somewhat. My hands feebly cling to my blanket with twig-like scribbles of fingers. My hair is spiking in every direction. A cube-shaped item on my nightstand to my left puffs clouds onto my face uselessly. A speech bubble in the bottom right reads, "You tried your best, my dear humidifier."

Comic 4: "3 PM, FRENCH TOAST!!" A one-panel comic of Jaunt (@roadgaunt.com) holding a plate of french toast out to the viewer. Jaunt is a slim figure with shoulder-length curly hair and rectangular glasses. His hair and face have sparkles coming from them. The french toast at low-center is a fluffy square bread slice with a pat of butter, surrounded by rays of light. Jaunt has a welcoming grin and gentle eyes and seems happy to serve them up.
