Bit of a strange week where I've not found as much enjoyment in my listening. A sizable amount of albums here that have been on the backburner for a fair while, but didn't do it for me. Have found myself defaulting back into the tried and true.

Ryan's Week 20

More instrumental and new release diving, with a few perhaps surprising "new old music" discoveries along the way too - don't think I've ever listened to "The Real Thing" or "Ill Communication" in full.

The new Deafheaven album is the dog's bollocks, seriously.

Have been dreadfully ill with yet another bout of flu since Wednesday. Music has been my ally in wading through it.

Took in some excellent new stuff from Bambara, Clipping, Dessiderium, Steven Wilson, and Warbringer.

Another interesting week of listening. Went on a hardcore/post hardcore kick for the first half of it, then mostly a black and death metal one for the second half.

The new Spiritbox and Whitechapel albums are very, very good.

Got round to checking out some brilliant stuff this week. Burst, Buried Inside, Dälek, LCD Soundsystem, Leonard Cohen amongst the "new old music" highlights.

Ludicrous set up today. Naivety beyond comprehension. Absolutely ridiculous comments to come out with after being spanked 7-0.

No, which I think has to be a major consideration. We're in no real need to sell him right now anyway, we basically have this season to use the money we've "banked" from player sales before the three-year accounting period rolls over into the summer. Would make more sense to sell then, if we do.

I was today years old when I learnt that the two bands were interconnected, as a fan of both. Absolutely love that Totem Skin debut in particular
