Friends, I've had a rough few weeks. I say this in hopes that it helps others who may be struggling:

Find the strength to take care of yourself.

Make the tough decisions that prioritize your well-being. Leave that crappy job. Dump that toxic relationship. You will survive. You will be okay.

A shitty boss will otherwise ruin a great opportunity.

Been honest in a couple of interviews that I don't care for the work culture at my current employer which is why I am out here looking to make a change after less than a year. I've been met with much empathy, and it's refreshing.

Work is work. But having good leadership makes all the difference.

AI is not gonna weed my garden and grow my vegetables.

To anyone else out there dealing with this same crap, I feel you.

It's a confidence-drag, meaning I'm worried I'm the problem. But everyone (my colleagues, my direct reports) tell me it's absolutely my boss who is toxic AF.

Really struggling. Trying to keep it together but absolutely dreading going to work tomorrow.

I feel like this is a safer space to post in at the moment. I took a job in November that I thought would be a great 3-5yr opportunity for growth. Turns out, my boss is heinous and I need to look for something else. It's honestly making me sick to my stomach.

Here's the thing: the SEC can't give people a $50k buyout without congressional approval. My advice: don't accept the bribe.

Had to work today...because new job and no time off. But came home and took down fall decorations, cleaned a little, and started getting out Christmas.

I have had that a few times this past year. Found out that perimenopause exacerbates anxiety cycles. And I was vitamin D deficient. Taking D, taking Prozac, and getting exercise and sleep helped. Oh, and a new job.

I feel like I need a nap. So, gonna take a nap.

Because they think people on these programs are there by choice, sucking off the government teet. If they make people suffer enough, they believe folks will get off their assess and work bootstrap style. Disaster is coming...

Well, they want to take this fight to the SCOTUS. That's what happened.

The new gig is pretty cool. Lots going on, but it's great. And definitely hoping we clobbered Indiana tomorrow!!! O-H!

Unfortunately, the Haitians in Springfield are so afraid of being deported, they are leaving Ohio in droves. It's sad.

I have to share my #dinner. There was a lovely Indian-American woman at the farmers market the other day selling spice blends and cookbooks. Gave her Masoor Dal recipe a try (vegan red lentil stew). OMFG...yum! Like getting a hug from the inside.

The shit show just got shittier. Dr. Oz to head up CMS???
