In 12 days, it will be my 14th year
writing [at least] a poem a day.
Grateful for this sustaining practice.

Bit of a late post— I just happened on this in a FB Group I’m a member of. Apparently one of my poems (from CAULBEARER, Black Lawrence Press) is among the “Special Mention” poems (among many excellent poets) in THE 2025 PUSHCART PRIZE Anthology and wasn’t informed (same with a lot of other poets).

So proud, and grateful to Venazir Martinez who created ODU’s first public mural, one that honors the legacies and achievements of Filipinos in Hampton Roads! 🎉💕🎉
