Den här personen, AW, kan säga att det är allas plikt att omvända en person under 18 som antingen kommer ut som transperson eller har funderingar på sin könsidentitet och samtidigt hänga i SR är ofattbart.

Athena Forum, LGB Alliance och WoPAI lyckades inte att förhindra den.

Misstänker dock att Sverige röstade emot pga vår representant.

Väldigt vanligt i UK och US, och används för att misstänkliggöra transpersoner eller vårdpersonal som arbetar med transpersoner då det ska få en att associera det med övergrepp mot barn.

Om hon sagt ordet innan har jag inte sett det.

The first EU member state to introduce a comprehensive nationwide ban was Malta (2016), followed by Germany (2020), France (2022), Greece (2022), Spain (2023), Belgium (2023), Cyprus (2023) and Portugal (2024). Proposals for similar legislation have been brought forward in Poland, Ireland, Austria and the Netherlands. If the Council of Europe resolution is passed, it will carry considerable weight in those countries who do not yet have such bans. To be very clear: The resolution is not legally binding. However, it will be used at national level across Europe (the Council of Europe has 46 member states) to support the transactivist and progressive push for this kind of ban.

⚠️ It will establish the legitimacy of what it contains as a European human rights standard — that affirming a child as trans is good, and that objections from parents, therapists, teachers or anyone else are bad. ⚠️ It will be used to support arguments for “state of the art” interventions across mental health, education, social services and the judiciary (including in matters of custody!). ⚠️ It will lead to further resolutions and recommendations and potentially to binding policies and law, as well as funding to implement every aspect of the resolution. ⚠️ It will nourish the ignorance of conservatives on this issue and carry the ideology of progressives.

⚠️ It’s a prime example of soft law and the damage it can and will do. The stated aim is to push for such laws to be implemented everywhere across Europe “to avoid loopholes”. It is already extremely difficult to resist this push at national level. Passing this resolution would give it very strong momentum. It will help establish this as a European human rights standard that politics, media and civil society (including parents) will struggle to ever undo. This week, politicians won’t decide on a binding law. We will have to support each other to make sure it is not pushed through on the national level.

WoPAI fortsätter att retweeta Athena Forums arbete för att förhindra en resolution om en sk ”ban” av omvändelseförsök som är på agendan i Europarådet idag.

Jag förstår impulsen, men jag skulle inte gå all foliehatt där förrän jag sett mer.

Följa personer kan man ju göra av alla möjliga skäl som journalist, speciellt om man vill fördjupa sig inför artikel eller är intresserad av andra saker som personen gjort/gör.

Det händer absolut i Sverige och jag har sett Agnes Wold själv dela en artikel om en ung transkille som hennes följare gick apeshit över till den nivån att tidningens inlägg på socmed var tvingen att låsa kommentarsfält efter någon lam ”Tänk på tonen :)”-förmaning.

Ett skäl varför journalister bör tänka en runda till innan de vill intervjua transpersoner är att även det snällaste reportage kan komma att delas i FB-grupper, på X eller på alla möjliga ställen där de går i gång på att gränslöst ösa hat på transpersoner, kända som okända.

Exakt den här energin har jag saknat.

British MPs are actively shaping European transactivist policy through the Council of Europe, while many other delegates lack a clear understanding of these issues and have never sat through a substantive debate on them. UK Labour MP Kate Osborne tabled a resolution on conversion therapy bans with gender identity and gender expression, and it passed committee unanimously. The Council of Europe’s Parliament will vote on this resolution on 29 January. It calls for criminal sanctions on mental-health professionals, educators, parents and social workers who do not affirm a child’s self-declared trans identity. It proposes mandatory training and public awareness campaigns, and mandatory sex-education on gender identity. It is pure ideological overreach. Delegates will vote on this in two weeks.
