Getting him and Gordon back would be huge for our defense.

NBC News - Breaking Headlines and Video Reports on World, U.S. and Local Angles Go to NBCNews.com for breaking news, videos, and the latest top stories in world news, business, politics, health and pop culture.

CNN website has many articles now on a paywall. This is frustrating. So after getting rid of CBS due to caving to Trump, and ABC for caving to Trump, I now only have nbcnews.com to follow on the web as I am done with going to CNN.

Someone asked a great question on Gordon's return and what will happen at CB when he does return. You touched on Gordon's absence and return, but not on the second part of question. So I will ask, if Gordon comes back, how does CJ Gardner-Johnson fit on the defense? Does he take Wright's spot?

With the Dodgers buying championships, does any of this really matter for the other 29 teams. If you get a salary cap in place, floor and ceiling, then the article is worth reading. But as a waning fan of baseball and its buying championships and gambling issues, I frankly don't care.

Exactly, why? He let Barkley basically walk, and Jones. Dart and Scattabo have been nice finds, but had they kept the first two guys they could have used those other picks on other players.

How about those NFL Media Darlings, the 2024 Commanders? Maybe Daniels is another RG3???? The knock on him coming out was he was very slender and could be injury prone in the NFL. And that has come to fruition.

I count 4-5 drops today.

How will MLB media spin this to be the owners fault somehow? That is the question.

better. So we got the good end of the cap and the bad end of the cap. And that is how it should be. Your team will come out of it at some point.

I am a BlackHawks fan. I got the full cap ramifications. We had cap space and got good players. Toews and Kane were drafted and had low salaries initially. We won three of six years but the cap came calling and we had to let go of a lot of players. Finally after nine years, our rebuild looks..

06.11.2025 19:34 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

Salary floor and Salary ceiling.

06.11.2025 18:49 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

They have that now and it does not work. Don't think about the owners. Don't think about the players. Don't think about your favorite team. Think about the 24 fanbases that go into every year KNOWING they have ZERO shot at winning World Series. Those fanbases need a salary cap.

06.11.2025 17:11 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Players do want lower taxes, but it still has to fit under a cap. Chicago won three titles with cap, Pittsburgh three, Vegas one, Colorado one. Tampa and Florida have won it twice each over the last six years. Florida and Tampa have built great teams, nothing more really.

06.11.2025 17:10 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

You obviously don't know how a cap works. Teams with or without local taxes can only go up to a certain point. Example, with no cap, Skenes becomes free agent and Dodgers offer him $70 million a year. With cap, they can only offer him $30 million a year while Pirates can give him $70 million.

Here is the deal. Dodger fans says its all talent and heart and NOT money. Fans of the other 29 teams disagree. Salary ceiling and floor needed. $250 million ceiling and $125 million floor. That way all fan bases have a shot going into the season, and not just top 6 big spenders. For the Fans!

Salary cap coming. Enjoy buying these championships while you can.

06.11.2025 13:47 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

...but you Sox fans should really not be going to the park and supporting Reinsdorf cheapness and bad team anyway. There, I finished it for you.

Cry harder....I love it.

All Salary Caps have ceilings and floors...that is the only way it works. It's not about the owners or the players, its about the fans. Fans need to know there team has a chance at winning. I am a White Sox fan. Reinsdorf will spend $25 million on payroll if he could.

05.11.2025 17:12 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Dodgers bound. Three peat on bought championships. Then lockout and salary floor and salary ceiling. Then Dodgers have to cut payroll to meet cap. Then Dodgers don't get to buy championships and all 30 teams get to compete. Great news for 24 fanbases that right now have no shot at World Series.

05.11.2025 14:09 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

And its not like Poles has hit on many 3rd and 4th rounders. He has been pretty subpar with those picks since he started here.

04.11.2025 18:40 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Not sure how this helps the pass rush. Not saying we are anywhere near the point where we deal two first rounders....but man, how about a 3rd or 4th rounder for someone with a little pass rush value? This appears to just be adding a warm body due to injuries. Doubt it makes us better.

Lockout and salary cap please.

You are right. Probably not.

Or maybe draft a starting QB that is not like 150 pounds. Injury issues were a concern for Daniels coming out of draft due to his slight build.

03.11.2025 12:20 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

This was the knock on him coming out. Too slender and could be injury prone in NFL. Meanwhile, Caleb Williams has started and finished 25 straight games. The NFL sports media won’t point that out as it does not fit their narrative. But facts are facts.

We sorely miss Gordon and Johnson. Sorely.
