The MSNBC commentator saying that most political violence has historically come from the left just once again showed how we suffer from failing to learn history. Lynching, pogroms, race riots, the political violence that ended Reconstruction, and against the Civil Rights Movement. Come on.

doesn't make the headline for some reason but the Trump administration confirmed on the record that they are running an explicitly whites only refugee program, if you're wondering how things are going in the year 2025
25.07.2025 19:11 — 👍 1491 🔁 609 💬 16 📌 13I think some people have trouble seeing fascism as anything other than 1940s Germany.
But I think 'people going to a comic convention needing to have a plan in case the government's goons show up to disappear people' is a pretty good demonstration of what it can look like in 2025.
The era of institutionalization was rife with horror, and deinstitutionalization + the rise of community care has allowed millions to live more independently with dignity over decades
I hate these eugenicist fascists with every drop of blood in me

You've probably seen news recently about the Israeli military deliberately targeting Palestinian civilians seeking food and water at aid sites.
Because it's difficult to truly grasp how often these war crimes are taking place, here is a thread of some distinct incidents since June 1. 🧵

A warmer world - with all its challenges - still deserves our love, and will always be worth fighting for.

Disability justice is a very hard thing to advocate for
Disability will happen to almost everyone, so it’s in their best interest to help
But people are terrified of disability & desperate to believe they’ll be the exception
So they treat us appallingly. They don’t “get it” until it’s their turn
Those of us not in LA: donate to bail funds. Support their actions openly and refuse to get into debates about what’s “okay” in response to horrific state violence.
