Ugh. The temptation is real (I live on a residential road that's a shortcut between two highways) but alas, illegal [as far as I know]... Luckily, I'm also just within city limits and they recently started using photo enforcement that does seem to have helped slow down the worst offenders.

Still being researched, apparently. (My body already does this! As soon as a tick bites me, even the . ones, the spot itches. The trick is remembering to checkโI once ignored the itch, kept scratching, and ended up with a dozen bites as a tick chomped its way across my stomach... ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ)

I asked my veterinarian about this years agoโapparently it doesn't work in humans the way it does in dogs. We did have a human version, very briefly, about 25 years ago. (According to the CDC website, production stopped in 2002 due to low demand. I believe it had other issues as well.) โน๏ธ

Even with only the base layer (it's heavy if you go for all three! also, short attention span ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ) it makes a great looking, practical shawl. I added a border along the top plus a few rows of fun fur yarn to imitate a marabou feather collar. ๐

I hear ya. (Although I'm on the other side; I was very put out when Ford turned their SUVs into wagonsโmaybe as a response to Sub's success? ๐) Nothing wrong with wagons! I grew up in wagons. (dad had a Mercury & mom's Pinto counted, albeit a very small one ๐) Wishing your wagon many more miles!

Crocheted stocking cap in graduated shades of blue and aqua yarn, using shell stitches for the long tail and with crocodile stitches around the head to resemble scales. Pointed, slightly flared piece in dark blue on the tip instead of a pompom and a matching flat band at the open end.
Ok, I think I'm done with stocking caps. For now. Maybe. Probably. (Do need to find the matching arm warmers/mitts that I made about 6-7 years ago...)

Person wearing fingerless gloves and a long stocking cap ending in a big pompom, both crocheted in a fanciful stitches and stripes of bright red, orange, and yellow yarn along with a yarn that is a mix of reds, oranges and light purple. The hat brim and pompom are both solid red.
Days might be getting longer and brighter but it's still winterโand a typically cold, cloudy, damp and windy one in the mid-Atlantic. So while it looks like the sub-freezing weather is gone (for now), I am still fighting back against the bleakness... #killwinterwithorange (yearly Feb prompt on IG)

Long, stocking caps crocheted in bright, thick yarn, one in winter blues and white, the other in a colorful mix, with different stitches providing texture, some fuzzy yarns and a large pompom on the end of each.
