Republicans Pass Bill Gutting Medicare and Medicaid in Middle of Night Vote House Democrats pushed back by introducing over 500 amendments in 24-hour committee fight

House Republicans passed a federal budget bill by a vote of 215 – 214 early Thursday morning that includes massive cuts for Medicare and Medicaid in order to extend tax breaks to billionaires. It now goes to the Senate.

This is really the whole ball game right now, *particularly* among the institutions that make up civil society.

(my parents definitely had this poster when I was growing up)

Fact: They didn’t fear what breaking the Dept of Education would do to their kids. Their kids are in fancy private schools.

They are dismantling the Dept of Ed so our kids have no choice but to be undereducated and work for their kids.
