I'd probably try a calculation group, and store all the date values in the dimension. You can hide them from the end users but will need it for the calculations.

If there wasn't enough proof that we're living in the twilight zone, Varigence just announced a Biml update for SSIS 2022. After 6 years of absolute silence...can't make this stuff up.

I use it at times, when customers want to take shortcuts instead of doing due diligence...that's the only times I use it though, and think there needs to be some level of trust between the two parties first before that phrase will have any effect.
