Is being weirdly weepy for no known reason normal post-surgery?
Follow-up question: if so, is it anesthesia related, body recovery related, or pain med related? Because this is for the birds.

Oof!
18.11.2025 04:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Oh no. What do I have to look forward to? Yesterday I felt much better than I did today. I can't even believe I was internally considering still going to PASS.
18.11.2025 03:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It ended up working out in my case, but I wouldn't recommend. When I went the next day I only had to wait 5.mins till they rolled me back and almostly immediately put me on strong pain meds. I'm sure they knew.
18.11.2025 02:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I won't lie, I was a bit weepy earlier about missing it.
18.11.2025 02:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yea - I was saying it a bit tongue-in-cheek making fun of myself. Could have been bad.
In my defense, the main reason I didn't go to the ER that night (and couldn't even Google) was the level of pain. That seems opposite, but I couldn't imagine feeling like that for hours in a waiting room.
It may be the meds talking, but listening a TV show character say, "Don't be a notebook wanker son. Nobody likes a notebook wanker" and now I really want to figure out how to encorporate that line IRL.
17.11.2025 20:52 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Probably not a great idea to try and diagnose myself by feverishly telling someone else what I need them to google for me...
17.11.2025 20:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0PSA - contrary to what the internet says, appendicitis does not always present as right side pain. I actually ruled it out when I was in my worst pain because I felt it in my entire lower abdomen and back, accompanied with nausea.
17.11.2025 18:25 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Just cancelled my hotel and flight. It was foolish for me to even consider it given the logistics and after surgery instructions.
Going to go sulk for a bit.
Thank you! Im feeling much better today, but stairs are still hard.
16.11.2025 18:02 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Have to make the decision today if I can go to PASS or not. π
16.11.2025 17:50 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 3 π 0Lol. Thanks.
15.11.2025 02:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Had to have my appendix taken out last night unexpectedly.

Listening to a podcast and I seriously thought the speaker was saying "nerd avergent" instead of "neurodivergent" for the first 7 mins and it didn't even register as wrong.
This was for an adhd/autism podcast and also avergent isn't a word.
But probably not going to reinforce the sus behavior for Twin B until they are an adult.
Twin B will def Get shit done no matter what.
Parent teacher conferences last night.
It's funny how different the twins are. One loves academics, & teachers usually gush over that and how nice Twin A is.
Twin B does really well, helps kids with issues, but will try and hack the system to their advantage when possible.
Equally proud of both.
