My ideal for the next patch would have been them saying we get more Tural and then also going "surprise FFIX remake!" A girl can have her dream shattered

Shower thought but what annoys me a lot about the way FFXIV is implementing FFIX (in addition to Tural being left behind) is that what I liked about IX is that it went back to more typical fantasy, at most steampunk, and away from the futuristic stuff we were seeing in the previous two entries

He released a shuddering gasp, feeling himself fall to his hands and knees as he watched. “But what if I’m not strong enough?” A lop-sided smile spread across her face as it too began to disappear. “Oh, my love. You have always been so brave. You have always been strong. Your heart has been the strongest of us all and that’s why it must be you. Keep faith in what you’ve seen. We will be reunited beneath the cerulean sky to run across the verdant forests hand in hand again. Never forget, dear heart, our love for you.”

He wrote of himself and his duty, for he is the Oracle and record-keeper and he loved them both, so he would make sure their memory endured for ages to come. He would ensure the future where they were reunited would come to pass with all the power he possessed. With a sigh, he closed the diary then took a deep breath before extending a hand to dim the oil lamp. If this was his duty, he would see it through and there was much to do, much to come. Standing, he picked up the lamp and crossed the room setting it on his nightstand as he sat down on the bed and for the first time in a long time, he bid the visions to come and haunt his dreams.
