By far the definitive Mega Man 1 experience and it's not even close. The PSP did receive many other remakes including Final Fantasy, Castlevania, and Ys, but the upgrade in quality here cannot be overstated.

This (and Maverick Hunter X, besides the Day of Sigma OVA) also never got ported anywhere.

The Symphony of the Night redub is overhated, as legendarily cheesy and quotable as the old dub was.

Maria no longer sounds older than she actually is, and the nightmare sequence was localized more faithfully.

Unironically though, Robert Belgrade and Yuri Lowenthal were both solid Alucards.

To my speculation brain-rotted self in 2015, this was the most shocking event ever. The old notion that third party fighters needed a strong presence on Nintendo systems was shattered.

That aside, he's friggin' Cloud! If it wasn't exhilarating to have him fight Link or Shulk, I don't know what is.

Unlike many other modern remakes, I was never under the impression that the FF7R series was meant to "replace" or substitute the original game, given the stark new direction of the former.
