we dunk on the concept of historical and fantasy characters somehow having a perfect understanding of bdsm safety protocols but i think we also need to free ourselves of putting modern terms for gender and sexuality in the mouths of characters who would've never seen a pineapple.

This is Idun, she's the heiress to a place with lots of snow and maybe a birch tree if you're lucky.
