Congrats to Justin on getting β€œIt is more important than ever that we...get our shit together" as an on-the-record quote from a sitting MLA published by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

Today marks one year since the Dec. 3, 2024 martial law declaration that rocked South Korea and still reverberates today. What’s on my mind today is the grit of South Koreans who rushed to the National Assembly that night, in freezing weather, to demand a return to democratic government.

White Honduran Bats
(Ectophylla alba)

They have white fur, found in 6 of 1,300 bat species. They construct "tents" out of leaves they cut with their teeth; then roost inside. Eat exclusively one type of fig.

Green Card Interviews End in Handcuffs for Spouses of U.S. Citizens

Won't pretend I'm impartial here but I do not think the US should be imprisoning the immigrant spouses of US citizens as they appear for green card interviews. Who would want this? To what end?

Primula includes species commonly cultivated. Gardeners recognize a few broad kinds, including the auriculas, which are traditionally (in the UK, at least) displayed in β€œtheatres,” like this one at Stockton Bury Gardens. Their intricate flowers often have a mealy coating. #Primulaceae #Botany 🌾πŸ§ͺ🌱

I’m one of many who believe our Vancouver waterfront should have more things to go to. Here’s one I’ve been advising & helping withβ€” HAVN now has a proposed site in Vancouver for a floating sauna boat. They have one in Victoria already. I’ve experienced similar in Helsinki & Oslo! www.havnsaunas.com

251: Christopher Gaze. Arts contribute 24 billion to our economy. Stories we tell and community connection. We lose jobs and erode cultural ecosystem that draws people here. Without culture there’s less joy. Lets work together to find creative solutions. When we invest in culture we invest in people
