I saw a tow truck on 4th Ave today parked in the car lane, not the bike lane. I had to do a double take it was so unusual

A new housing development near Lake Stevens is bulldozing a forest and calling itself The Timbers.

Is this sprawling, car-dependent place really the best place to build new homes? Couldn’t we be allowing more housing in our core cities and protecting these forests?

I wonder if after this incident SPD has done anything to educate the rest of their officers that they do in fact have to follow the speed limit in non-emergencies, and if they are going to speed their lights and sirens need to be on

a chart showing that australia sends most gas overseas

not only does australia send most of the gas it extracts overseas, it uses more gas **just for preparing the other gas for sending elsewhere** than it does for all domestic gas power generation

The world’s richest 1% are people who make more than $140,000 per year.

Maybe instead of a private jet in the thumbnail, they should have put a recently purchased single family home in Seattle.

If it's running at the same rate as a typical garden hose that's like 200,000 gallons of water which would cost $1,500

Could you be more specific about what is problematic with Elliott Bay Brewing? I can't find anything searching online

C&P closes at 7 unfortunately, otherwise it might be a good option at least while we are fairly small. Till Dawn could work, but again it's a bit small so if we grow past 10ish people it might be tight. Elliott Bay has an entire upstairs area that is often empty on Wednesday nights
