Lastly, the reason they are scraping everything with genAI is because in order to act on any info they DO somehow find, at some point it takes actual humans. Allowing in AI everywhere that can just feed them the info they're looking for makes impossible policing tasks possible. Refuse genAI always.

Echoing a very wise friend of mine, there's a reason that political officials are using signal rather than the literal government's secret systems. What is more useful than avoiding the use of social media or digital methods is the manner in which you use them. Learn/practice security hygiene.

People really don't think their concerns about digital security through. Do you really think it's easier to get into a bunch of 1s & 0s encrypted through means 9.5/10 of us don't understand than it is to just come to an in-person meeting to sit there and observe everything with a secret camera?

An important takeaway from feds infiltrating a signal chat is that they probably did it by getting a link posted publicly & then just lurking. For all the fear mongering about how "nothing on the Internet is safe," in reality signal & e2e apps are as safe as your security culture. Vet & hand invite!
