Sunken Waltz is fantastic. From the waltzing rhythm, the beautiful accordion, to that amazing opening line, you're drawn right in.

There's not much wrong with The Young Rascals' Groovin', like I enjoyed listening to it a bunch, but it is also just another 60s rock band chasing similar territory to The Beatles. Still better than a lot of those at 670.

The Ramones' debut album is undoubtedly a foundational punk rock record, and has some excellent songs on it, but between a couple iffy choices and where the genre has gone since it sits at merely 'pretty dang good'. 555.

22) Ultimate Spider-Man book 1 by Bendis, Bagley & co.
Not read the early Ultimate Spidey stuff in over two decades, so this was a nice trip back. First 13 issues of decompressed comics goodness, with only dated dialogue against it.
Would love a good modern attempt at a reboot like this.

I can just drink this down like water, an absolute modern fave. Excellent character voices, cathartic drama, and a sex scene with like a⦠balanced gaze? Nothing like it.

Mick Ronson and Mike Garson deliver a theatrical masterpiece on Time, allowing Bowie to really let loose both lyrically and on the rhythmic las and lies and an effective bit of heavy breathing.

Aladdin Sane is a peculiar one. A strong concept, killer cover, and every bit as magnificent a production as Ziggy Stardust, but never quite as memorable. Still a classic at 170.
