I like my black metal raw but this album goes a bit too far: The music is pretty great but it seems to have been recorded with a cheap mic across a wall, especially the drums. ๐
Why would you do this to a perfectly fine symphonic BM album? What do you think?

Like the austrian Sachertorte, Summoning ๐ฆ๐น perfected the art of layering rhythms and melodies to create atmospheres not made of sweet chocolate but of bitter yearning and doom in their middle-earth inspired music.
Stronghold (1999) is a masterpiece.
