This was an absolute delight though.

Alcest are an immediate must see for #arctangent. Thought it might be a bit too uplifting - I kind of like gloomy music - but it hit the right spot. Perfectly timed for my mood actually.

Resentment Is Always Seismic - A Final Throw Of Throes, by Napalm Death 8 track album

And it turns out I enjoy Napalm Death more than I anticipated. It's loud and aggressive and I'm not sure much else, but it was kind of fun. Reckon they'll be worth an #arctangent watch at the least.

Been on an #Arctangent line-up binge today. Started with SikTh and an album that divided me. I think I like it, but I'm not completely sure. At least until the live tracks on the deluxe version. They sounded great live. So, I'm in for the festival at least.

This is pretty chill and a lovely listen. Very alternative pop, although I don’t think the pop tag sits that well with it. Some hints of shoegaze in there. Mostly it sounds nice.

I liked the most recent Cult of Luna album so expected to like this. They’re performing it in full at #arctangent.

There was a moment in the first track where I wasn’t sure it was going to live up to the hype. But we got past that and this is solid, sludgy post metal.

Working through some more headliners for #arctangent. Chelsea Wolfe is one I want to see. This recent album of alternate folk/rock is very good. I could perhaps go for a slightly less cleanly produced sound but I’m being picky.

I’m preparing to wing it in Christmas week when I realise my post history is my only record of what I’ve liked this year.

I found their earlier album catchy and quite likeable in many respects. But oddly in a way that I didn't feel I needed to hear anymore! Clearly a band that creates some divide as I've been chatting with some people who really don't like them!

This makes sense. It was pretty obvious it couldn't be their normal output. So tried a much earlier album. Better, but I don't think I'm becoming a Primus fan.

But surely there's more to them? I followed with an early album. And it is better, their rhythm section makes it an easy listen. But it's not doing that much for me still. From an #arctangent perspective I'm probably passing.

Primus headline #Arctangent next year and I don't know that I've ever really heard them. Based on this album I'd be satisfied to leave it at that. A concept album with a concept I didn't much like.
