Surprised she didnβt end it right there and then. Thatβs psychopath behaviour.

10.05.2025 19:39 β π 0 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0A night at the amusements: a story in 4 pictures.
28.04.2025 19:33 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Finally seeing The Brutalist today got me feeling like:
08.04.2025 12:14 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Another GFF in the books. A wild ride with ups and downs but the feedback from audiences and good times shared with this team fill my heart with such joy. Who knows whatβs next for me and the festival with changes coming but hereβs hoping Iβll be along for the ride. GFF forever x
11.03.2025 11:42 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Tonight will forever be a memory burned into my brain. Toni Collette showed up for our Murielβs Wedding pop up event at #gff25. So happy to share this moment with the team and our amazing audience. All other film festivals, just give up. We have completed it mate.
07.03.2025 23:17 β π 12 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Looking for recommendations @glasgowfilmfest.bsky.social then you could start with the witty, very entertaining Peacock starring Albrecht Shuch ( All Quiet On The Western Front). Screens on Sunday March 2nd at 5.15pm and there are only a few tickets left.
13.02.2025 13:56 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0A dark wood panelled wall in GFT featuring three illustrations of a cartoonish male figure. In the first image, he is wearing a suit and brandishing a cinema ticket. In the second, he is wearing a suit and lifting a bowler hat. The third image shows a different man who has spiky hair, glasses and a striped top. Each image has a spotlight illuminating it from above.
Did you know: this little guy you can see around the cinema to this day is Mr Cosmo β a figure who appeared on posters and ads for the cinema back in the 1940s when we were called The Cosmo.
He'd also appear on screen before each feature, in a guise appropriate for the genre.
πΈEoin Carey
Havenβt stopped thinking about this since I saw it. A film that gets under your skin and haunts you. A must watch in my humble opinion.

I know that's a lot of things, but it'll pay off!!!
Richie is a good boy. We like Richie.
22.01.2025 14:39 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Just a handful there for you to get started but honestly, I am so proud of this programme and basically I would recommend taking a deep dive and choosing what you like the sound of. No duds, all bangers. Its the GFF way.
22.01.2025 13:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0STEALING PULP FICTION
A comedy! This story of two best friends that hatch a plan to steal Quentin Tarantinoβs personal film print of Pulp Fiction is offbeat and silly with plenty of laughs to be had. Plus, there is a (kinda) cameo in this that made me choke with laughter.
VENI VIDI VICI
A spikey satire that feels a mix of SALTBURN/SPEAK NO EVIL if it was directed by Ruben Γstlund. It contains plenty of darkly comedic moments and doesnβt shy away from showing its disdain for the rich and how the evil they are capable of is often ignored.
U ARE THE UNIVERSE
Ukrainian sci-fi about a lone astronaut who upon finding out the world has been destroyed, embarks on a mission to connect with a mysterious voice he hears over his intercom. Reminiscent of MOON and is funny and heartbreaking. Such an impressive debut feature.
CRICKET'S, IT'S YOUR TURN
Reminded me of Coralie Fargeat's REVENGE but with less blood and more of a scathing look at the patriarchy and toxic masculinity as a young woman gets caught up in a deadly game of cat and mouse after taking a trip away with a young man she has just met.
GAZER
I was really taken by this neo-noir thriller that feels like a companion to MEMENTO as a young woman, who suffers from a brain disorder that causes her to lose track of time, gets caught up in a web of deceit that threatens her life and chances of getting her daughter back.
THE LUCKIEST MAN IN AMERICA
Based on the real-life scandal in the 80s about an Ice Cream truck driver who won hundreds of thousands of dollars on a game show after he had memorised the patterns of the game. Great cast including Paul Walter Hauser and Walton Goggins!
STATIONED AT HOME
A wee gem that is a worthy addition to any alternative Christmas movie list. A little Jarmuschian, a little Lynchian and a whole lot of heart as a taxi driver hopes to catch a glimpse of the International Space Station flying past whilst working on Xmas Eve.
EBONY & IVORY
From the man who brought you THE GREASY STRANGLER, comes an equally bonkers tale about two pop icons who meet at a Scottish cottage to discuss a potential collaboration. Bound to be a marmite film but I had a great time with it. Absurd and fun!
SHARP CORNER
Excellent thriller as Ben Foster puts in an amazing performance as a family man who begins to throw everything away after a car accident happens on his front lawn. The third act of this film is truly haunting stuff and has stuck with me since I saw it.
With tickets going on sale soon for @glasgowfilmfest.bsky.social, below is a wee thread of recs that I think are worth checking out:
