(No spoilers) Silent Hill f was excellent. It had my mind sizzling with possibilities all the way through with its mysteries and subtext. Well worth a second playthrough to help recontextualize events and pour over the new documents and endings.

I'm learning (re-learning) to draw again and although I don't have anything I want to show for it yet, it's been nice to lay down a line and have something that passes for the profile of a face, or an eye, a mouth etc in just a few seconds compared to 3d modelling all dimensions for hours.

Looking back on this project, I wish I hadn't been so rushed. There's something pleasant in the textures and surfaces in this Zbrush render that I wasn't able to preserve when I went through the texturing process in Substance. Hope I get the chance to revisit this some time.

Thank you! I've been using the Komikaze and Clay Doh shaders on almost everything. They're all so good.

To be a beautiful woman exploring ancient tombs, safe in the knowledge that every problem you face is easily solvable with your exact set of skills and enough F5's. Magnificent.

It's a careful combination of @doublegum.bsky.social Komikaze shaders, specifically "Rim (Soft)" for basic colour and to directionally cheat the shadows, combined with "Fake Sun Lit" to provide both rim lights. These are all emission shaders so there are no other lights or textures in the scene.

Yep, a few proportion changes since then and some loop reductions, but largely the same kind of topology. I'm pretty happy with it overall but I think if I were to improve on it I'd add a few more supporting loops in the fingers and boots and revise the shoulder and face geometry.

When I saw Peach in the trailer I thought maybe I'm on the right track here, no pun intended.
