The fabric is a handloom cotton. I'm excited about how this bias top is coming together. I'm with your BF - definitely looking forward to it warming up so I can wear this without a coat.

This hand-stitched button loop didn't turn out how I had hoped, but it works. I'll have to practice more. Or maybe I'll stick to a thread chain button loop. What's your preferred method for making button loops?
