i remembered you can add non steam games into your steam library, so now i can add homestuck to my visual novel collection, as it should be.

omg there was sm sexual humor and SOOOOO MUCH PORN of all the characters to the point there were specific nsfw and fetish tags. it just felt really widely accepted that it was a thing.

turns out you CAN still access this so i'm about to make a time consuming mistake.

the fans were strict about it too! i remember one time i commissioned someone at a con for a custom fan with my favourite HS ship at the time drawn on it. five minutes after getting it, someone yelled at me for buying unofficial merch and demanded to know who i got it from so they could report it.

Personally, I think the hype was justified. It's a HUGE deal for them to make a second studio branch and to take on a *very popular* IP.
Though they should have made it clear that it was not Hellaverse related so people excited over a potential Hellaverse announcement wouldn't be disappointed.

I am neck (haha) deep into this manga/anime. #TheSummerHikaruDied is such a poignant exploration of what makes humanity lovely and terrible by juxtaposing an actual eldritch horror next to the everyday horrors of human hate.
