What’s also nice is that if you vote for someone AND voice your misgivings about them ahead of time, then you can actually be the smug person you want to be when they turn out to be imperfect humans while also not causing nurses to literally get gunned down on the street by the federal government

And maybe, like, next time (if there is a next time), just fucking suck it up and minimize harm by voting and continue to take actions that improve the world bit by bit instead of expecting perfection like some ignorant child. The universe’s arc is fucking long and not voting made it fucking longer

And I don’t care about placing the blame, it’s irrelevant now, I just want people to understand for the future that just because you didn’t vote for the alternative doesn’t somehow make you morally superior to the people that actually did something that coulda avoided the current reality
