I feel like I’m taking crazy pills when it comes to the filibuster; like the senate has removed the filibuster for all sorts of votes just not the cloture vote right? No point in having it if the other side can simply break your resolve by threatening to remove the filibuster a diabolical catch 22.

I hate that he can’t even articulate what he considers “real dangers”. Aren’t the ACA price hikes considered “real dangers”? He even says later on we need to keep fighting for the ACA subsidies; no consistency in their own spin. Be a coward and cave if you have to, but don’t treat me like an idiot!

What is a “real danger” you can list them? Is the ACA price hike not considered a “real danger”? If this wasn’t a “real danger” why keep the government shut down for over 40 days? We were not fighting each other until you cowards caved!

Tried to leave a voicemail with your office @murray.senate.gov but it was full. Please vote NO on the proposed CR & urge your fellow Dems to vote NO! This deal is horrid and fixes nothing. As a fed worker I’m sacrificing my paycheck the least you and your fellow senators can do is continue to fight.

I really think senate republicans don’t have the votes even if they remove the filibuster otherwise I feel like it probably would have happened the first time he demanded it.

This was one of the first roles I saw him in and he was fantastic then and still is today. Was ecstatic to see him in Foundation and can’t wait to see what else he decides to do in the future.

Asking for help form this admin might be a mistake given their open chiding of consumers, specially complaining that children have too many dolls! I feel terrible for the workers who lost their jobs especially given the state of the economy.

I think Alien and Aliens have pretty competent people and Ridley is obviously super serious and smart about most things. The Marines in Aliens aren’t necessarily stupid as much as they are cocky. It’s much worse in Prometheus and Covenant where it clearly relies on the crews being very dumb.

You pointed to public opinion as the reason to support discrimination and I pointed to similar issues where public opinion was in favor of discrimination until it changed through collective action/activism. You can be a bigot if you want I can’t change you.

By this logic women wouldn’t have the right to vote, we’d still be “separate but equal”, gay marriage wouldn’t be legal. Public opinion is shaped & changed by many things! Refusing to fight for people’s rights because the public isn’t informed is a bad reason to cede the ground on this or any issue

I think it is an easy point to make that crime fell for many different reasons none of which involved massive surges of law enforcement officers or the deployment of military assets - Trumps actions do nothing to actually reduce crime and are a massive waste of resources.

My biggest red flag is someone telling me to do my own research. Like why? We have scientist who dedicate their life to pursuing knowledge but some random person can spew nonsense and snag well meaning/educated people in their web of lies and doubt and now experts are cogs in some grand conspiracy 🫠
