I feel like it's not wholly uncommon for folks to think they'll try some of the most destructive substances when they're at a point in life that there's not much life left to ruin, and while I don't support the fact that's clearly happening in the WH, I have to imagine it will be educational

The fun part about the current presidency is finding the midpoint between "how much amphetamine is he on" and "how much amphetamine could I take at that age as someone who hasn't been taking them me entire life in order to function" so as to best gauge the danger of my late life plans

We need to know what this young core could accomplish if fully healthy and if it's worth betting on that as is or if we need to tweak and rework the current constellation of skillsets

What's the formula going forward?

We didn't really find our stride last year until Ivey got injured and Ausar came back and while I don't think thats a knock on Ivey, it underscores that we still haven't seen evidence of a long term vision for all our pieces especially after losing THJ/Beasley

Starting to wonder if the blatantly corrupt former democrat mayor might possibly be compromised by the also blatantly corrupt current republican presidential administration who have a personal investment in 1) how NYC is run and 2) how corrupt politicians are treated post-conviction

Just curious for my own understanding: did they have to renew Jenkins or Smith as 2-way guys or does that more or less continue in perpetuity unless either party opts out?

My dog just recently made it to his 14th year and his 4th year after a cancer diagnosis and amputation. Also the native gardens my wife has been slaving over for 3 years have finally started taking root and behaving somewhat self-sufficiently despite his best efforts

The way this image faded from Pistons discourse when we traded Bruce was honestly one of the most upsetting consequences of the trade

Alternatively, maybe one of the teams doing a mini tank this year (MIL, BOS, IND) take a chance at trading for him on the off chance they can flip him for more after a season of maximum exposure though that feels the less likely possibility

I wouldn't bet on him having much of a market but if there's a team that takes a chance on him it'll probably be because they're top heavy with contracts and are banking on getting disproportionate value for his expected salary so probably someone like GS, CLE, maybe NY

Gotta have a tighter handle imo. I don't know that it will directly raise his stock but I don't see him getting enough PT to draw any trade interest unless he can reliably bring the ball up and initiate the offense

It was definitely like 10 for Orlando SL, but I thought Vegas was a lot more like regular season rules

You're probably right but I hope not. He has enough holes in his game at the NBA level that I'd like to see a full dominant SL from him drilling 3s and play making for others

Also apropos of nothing: if we're done with off season signings and only have 13 guaranteed roster spots, I wonder if Jenkins graduates from a 2-way to a real roster spot

Nah I think you're right that in a vacuum Holland touches will come after those 3, but two of three are starters so depending on how they wanna approach the rotation, I could see Holland getting a lot more usage than we might expect on the bench unit

Haha that's exactly where my head went too. Still, nothing wrong with these dudes ticking two boxes at one time by supporting the younger guys and also getting a nice vacation out of it. Feel like a lot of older guys are just out of the country during summer rather than showing this type of support

I heard them say we only have 13 rostered players so between the 9 you listed plus Holland, Klintman, and Lanier is Levert the only guy absent?

Tuned in to convince myself Lanier will develop into Duncan Robinson but turns out I'm just a Tolu Smith superfan

Shooting would be my pick too, but I really wonder what his role looks like if we don't find an answer for backup PG. Not that he'll be a primary ball handler but I can see us upping usage for guys like him who can attack the hoop and collapse the D off a DHO

Shooting would be my priority as well as it's probably a much more critical piece for his growth as a player, but I'm also wondering how much we're about to lean on his drive and kick ability if we go into the season without a true backup PG

Are #Pistons fans hoping Holland shows more growth as a 3pt shooter or as a playmaker/passer?

The most unrealistic thing about 2000s sitcoms is the idea that 3 full grown adults would regularly sit on a 3-seater couch together. If I show up at someone's house and my seating prospects look like a greyhound bus, I'm going back home immediately; let alone making this my regular spot

That's great but it's not like his choice to run shit back with a different coach was a damning condemnation of Weaver; it was the polar opposite. We don't have to celebrate Weaver, but we gotta stop pretending he's the exemplar for failing management when we're literally succeeding off his work

The hate for Weaver is really jumping the shark for me. He deserved to get fired for the Monty fiasco but let's not pretend that the vast majority of the core that just blew our minds this season wasn't drafted by him. Langdon has ONE W as an exec in Beasley.

We're not even 300 years into this "great experiment" and like 30% of the country has decided complicated explanations are too much effort and they'd rather just abuse the already marginalized even if it doesn't solve stuff so long as it's less effort than actually fixing anything

I think it's more that Knicks were a good matchup for us than that we're that close to contention. Im shocked at how well NY is playing Boston but ignoring that, if we had drawn Indy or MIL 1st round I really wouldnt have been shocked if we got swept for the third time rather than stealing 2 road Ws
