Remember: in the gospels, Jesus got the most upset with those who use religion as a tool of oppression and self serving power.

You don't see Jesus get upset with anyone for showing too much forgiveness, giving too much mercy, having too much generosity or loving others too much.

I think T pardoned Kushner in 2020? I think it was for tax fraud and some sort of false statements about the federal election.

Yes, it's hard to know, because the atmosphere feels so chaotic, so uncertain and fearful.

If you google: Donald Trump jumps out of Joe Biden’s Thanksgiving turkey in spoof National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation clip.

I understand. I kinda thought this may happen because I was thinking about Hunter's case a couple days ago with regards to the incoming government and the people being picked. Then I saw the video Trump posted to Biden. I started to wonder if Hunter would get targeted.

I was struggling with this but the more I thought about it the more I wondered what the new admin would do with Hunter.

It's a strange system over here. In order to vote a leader out, vote for a party you don't want. Voting for the person you want locally because that is the one that is good for your area...well, it hurts the brain. lol

"The Barn": A murder in Mississippi, and the evil hiding in plain sight In his new book "The Barn," author Wright Thompson, also a fifth-generation Mississippi Delta cotton farmer, examines the site of the notorious 1955 murder of 14-year-old Emmett Till. Correspondent Jim Axelrod talks with Thompson about illuminating injustice and a Mississippi Delta culture that, Thompson says, has spent decades trying to erase a horrible crime; and visits the barn, which still stands, where Till was beaten to death.

Complacency is found in those places and spaces where we say to ourselves: "No, it could NEVER happen here." It can, it does, it has.

It is deeply disturbing. Hillary Clinton co-wrote a book with Canadian author,Louise Penny: State of Terror and it is terrifying because of how accurate it could potentially be. It is set amongst the backdrop of US Politics and how the country was weakened by a POTUS, the enemy within and without.

Yes, I agree with the black eye. I was apart of a community that thought if you did't vote conservative you were violating your faith. I left that community and have not looked back. They thought Trump was amazing. It was insane listening to the rhetoric. I kept wondering if they knew history.

It's definitely concerning. If history is anything to go by what seems to happen here is that we are very good at overthrowing a government but no so good at forming one. The pendulum swings from right to left. I predict that the country will swing hard right when an election finally drops here.

I'm so sorry. :( I wish more people would research who they follow. The blockade at the bridge between Detroit and Windsor along with the freedom convoy that occupied Ottawa was concerning to me based on some of the leadership.

I'm Canadian and I read Project 2025. I have also studied history/taught history to my children. My young adult children read Project 2025. What other countries do and do not do affects us globally. I am concerned over here too, the far right reared its head during the pandemic. Awful business.
