This is an interesting start because as a contributor, I wasn't aware of AmaZine's cut. I was barely aware of their presence until I went looking. When someone asked here about their cut, BG3 Tarot locked the thread and didn't answer.

should we ask amazine to help produce it so they can take 15% and then we can charge the contributors

Regardless, it shouldn't be only because of conflict that you offer transparency. It is standard zine practice to disclose the payment structure to your contributors.

remembering the time they were questioned about their fee structure with an example from the finances of a current project and they replied with “you must not have a good finance mod”
