Mogwai. Great show! Without a doubt the loudest concert I’ve ever been to. Ears are still ringing.

We’d have a drastically different Supreme Court. Our children will be fixing this mess until they’re our age.

I rewatched the entire series last year for the first time since it aired. It holds up really well. Baltar is still my favorite character.

What? I didn’t know you wrote one! What’s it called?

I hope he rebounded from it. I can’t think of a single person in Hollywood that wasn’t fired for the silliest reason.

No, she did Corman films way way before I worked with her. But she had fond stories of him, and Joe Dante.

The great Tina Hirsch. I worked with her early in my career.

I think he also fails to understand the role of a really good assistant editor. It’s not just syncing dailies and grouping clips. It’s about being part of the process, the evolution of the cut… you know, storytelling. Not to mention understanding studio politics, and supporting the editor.

I was wondering how I got that email.

It’s like Hollywood. You fail upwards.

I’m not sure yet. We boycotted, as did many of our friends. Hopefully, it was substantial enough to make a point.

Recommend any movies from the 90’s

I agree. I’ve been keeping an eye out for a xbr trinotron so I can properly watch legacy media and gaming. Good ones still in working order are too expensive.

I’m doing well! One of the fires was close enough that we were on evacuation notice, but it never got that close. I hope your family is well!

I’ll give it a listen. Fritz Lang’s work in 1920’s Germany was astonishing. His techniques were innovative for the time and established a cinema language that filmmakers still use today.

Here we go again. This is our street. New fire popped up. It went from 5 acres to 3400 and rising in less than two hours.

This is the one film of his I haven’t seen. I’ve always been an admirer of his work. Die Hard has been emulated in countless films, but it was truly fresh and original at that time. The combo of his directing and Jan de Bonts cinematography, is near perfect filmmaking. Same goes for Red October, imo

My house is run off solar panels & home battery, and my car is an EV. Not a single component is Tesla. So there are green alternatives without benefitting Musk. However, I have to figure out ditching Amazon. We still rely too heavily on Prime.
