My partner sent me pictures from "trees of mystery," which everyone who watched Gravity Falls is tangentially aware of. The attraction where the spider lady lives is based on it. My favorite carving is probably square worm.

My favorite book was always the Magicians Nephew. I loved that there were hundreds of other dimensions out there. Loved the explanation for the lamppost in the middle of the woods and the cabby horse Pegasus. Plus the white queens orgin story is SICK. Too bad its all about original sin and shit

Politics affects what's greenlit by studios. Want proof? The Last Narnia film, Voyage of the Dawn Treader, came out in 2010, 16 years ago. The Magicians Nephew, The Narnia creation story comes out NEXT YEAR. C.S. Lewis was a Christian apologist his books are biblical allegories. It's not subtle.
