That new AMC TVL clip is inexplicable. Do these writers really think Lestat would walk in a room and immediately criticise the decor?? He'd find charm and beauty in everything, not complain. Come on.

The disrespect for Tongayi in this show is insane. Why would you cast him to play Ciprien (a character who is meant to be an amalgamation of Michael and Aaron, with some of Michael's attributes and story beats) and then give Rowan another love interest CALLED MICHAEL. WHO IS A CARPENTER.

Happy 40th anniversary to Anne Rice's "The Vampire Lestat," published on October 31, 1985. Rice's 2nd vampire novel, it turned Lestat from villain to glamorous antihero, & started her Vampire Chronicles in earnest. Fun fact; the book's big finale takes place on publication day, Halloween night, 1985

Sad to not only be missing all the vampire-y spooky fun in NOLA, but also Goth Weekend. This is the first time I've missed it in 3 years! 😢

Anyway my final thoughts are: the writers don't understand what the Talamasca should be as an ancient order. And the show is boring

AMC is allergic to using actual book characters when it comes to the Talamasca. And there are so many!!

Episode 2 of Talamasca thoughts: The season only has 6 episodes, so why has nothing happened yet?? I don't need to watch Guy hanging out at the pub and then a prolonged slow motion nightclub scene

Like I can appreciate it's not incredible storytelling or anything, but I liked the humour and it did introduce me to Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones (who I ended up getting to see at the end of the same year IRL at an SNL dress rehearsal which was so cool!)

I love Ghostbusters 2016! I saw it 5 times in theatres (and it got me into watching SNL) 😆

Watched the first episode of the Talamasca, and honestly? I was bored. It's not as bad as Mayfair Witches, but it's also probably not a good sign when I start looking at the timestamp to see how long I have left.

It feels so odd to have snapped out of my AMC IWTV enjoyment after 3 years. I guess the TVL trailer and all the hints we got at NYCC were the breaking point.

I tried to embrace the changes in S1 and S2, but I can only deal with so many before it pisses me off.
