Emil Bove is up for a lifetime appointment. This is not a time to rush through the process, violate the rules, and end debate. But that’s what Republicans on the Judiciary Committee just did. I was the next to speak and they barred us from debating. So we walked out.

Today we honor the legacy of the extraordinary John Lewis, who taught us about the power of getting into "good trouble" for the sake of justice and equality. As I remember his unwavering commitment to civil rights, I draw inspiration from his courage to challenge wrong and stand up for what's right.

When will the Republican representatives stand up for their constituents now and especially in the future?
