You're so real for this. My craziest injury/surgery story is insane to tell bc I remember none of it but the rest of the queer quad roommate situation does. They all have PTSD from it and I get to be like "okay so funny story" at every house party.

Listen I just know he's been in a psych ward at least once. He caused problems for all of the doctors, telling them that they're incorrect. And all of the other patients loved his ass because he was really kind (and would also tell off hospital staff for getting someone's dietary needs wrong!)

You're so correct... and also I keep thinking about how Ximena called Jayce mentally ill in court with no hesitation. She didn't logic through it and come up with the most solid legal defense, she reacted out of desperation and the first thought was to call her son crazy.

Nah see that's SO the best bet for complex issues. I don't have POTS, just had a brain surgery, but my roommate has POTS and from what I know it affects so much. If your doctors can talk to each other easily, that's the best option. Really, best of luck.

Most interior hospital systems will write the referral easily between specialists! Especially because if they have a hospital wide system they can put it in while you are there, so like definitely just ask. And the best of luck to you!

OH yeah absolutely they can refer you. Ask them if you've already got the appointment! Depending on the system they might not even have to link it to POTS and they can just write the referral because "neurological symptoms." I got my referral off of a brain scan my nephroligist ordered lmao

You're better off asking your primary care for a neurology referral if your cardiologist is not in a hospital system that also already has a neurologist! Going to your primary care will be faster most of the time, and sometimes they'll even give you a referral off a phone call.
