At the Empower Youth Live the Dream Services (EYLTDS) 4th Annual Youth Achievement Awards Dinner. EYLTDS is an important organization in our community that works with local youth, inspiring them to dream big and reach their goals. I was proud to recognize this year's award recipients.

At a school PA day skating party event at Grandravine CC organized by the talented Toronto Parks and Rec Youth outreach workers. Great turnout of youth across many neighbourhoods enjoying a skate, some refreshments, and great positive energy. Thank you for your great work in our community.

Pleasure to visit Westview Centennial with Trustee de Dovitiis as part of the Ontario Public School Boards' Association's Take Your MPP to School Week. Great conversations with staff & students about the present & future of education, & the need to invest in our students to ensure their success.

Saddened to learn of the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis this morning. I deeply admired his humility, compassion, stewardship of nature and dedication to social justice. He set an example for us all to follow. My prayers are with the many in mourning. May he rest in peace.
