04.02.2026 15:25 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0A screenshot from Minecraft Preview 26.10.21 changelog: Experimental Technical Updates API This release introduces new UI capabilities called Data-Driven UI (DDUI) These APIs introduce a new way to create modal forms with new capabilities and an all new look New modal forms is the first step in our UI journey for creators, stay tuned for more features in future updates! More information can be found here: Introduction to the Data-Driven UI (DDUI) Framework Known Issues: You need to wait a tick between programmatically closing a CustomForm/MessageBox and opening another. Showing a CustomForm/MessageBox while UI is already up "queues" the UI to show up instead of failing like the previous form APIs. CustomForms will only update after being shown via Observables, you cannot add a new button/dropdown/slider/etc while the form is shown. Reload command now closes all the Data Driven UI screens as part of the execution ScriptSetBannerDetailsFunction now includes base color and pattern data Fixed an issue with DebugBox where the position was being used as the bottom-left corner, instead of the centre Fixed an issue with DebugShape.attachedTo where the attachment position was unintentionally using the height offset of the entity
Before anyone gets too excited, this feature is NOT describing customizable Ore UI. This is an update to the Script API UI features, which are used in a lot of Marketplace Add-Ons.
03.02.2026 17:02 โ ๐ 9 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yikes, I appreciate the warning
02.02.2026 22:38 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Really sorry to hear this, the pictures of Felix on the page warmed my heart :(
02.02.2026 05:39 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The animations in this update are a key example of how great Bedrock Edition could be. The underlying systems are excellent, and when used correctly, they can match Java Edition.
There is no fundamental reason Bedrock has to be the way that it is.
Java and Console Aspects 6.5.0 is OUT NOW with mathematically perfect first-person animations and full support for Mounts of Mayhem! A huge thank-you goes to LateLag who designed the wonderful Detached System and ported first-person animations from Java Edition.

A screenshot from the essay. Heading: The mod updating process just sucks. Maybe itโs true that on paper, following along with Mojangโs treadmill version-by-version is easier than doing it in large chunks. But in practice - I need the โcouple hours of free timeโ and โspare motivationโ stars to be aligned, it takes forever for Gradle tooling to spin up to a new Minecraft version (especially on Forge), it takes time to get into the development groove, it takes time to test that the mod actually works, it takes time to write a changelog, it takes time to post the jars to CurseForge and Modrinth.
This is the part that really speaks to me

28.01.2026 06:32 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I read a really nice essay a while back that compared keeping mods up to date with modern Minecraft versions with a treadmill that never stops. I wish I could find it again. It keeps coming to my mind ever since Mojang switched to the drop system, because it's like the treadmill got 4 times faster.
28.01.2026 06:03 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0The resource pack system has broken like 4 different ways in the last month. They are clearly working toward adding more pack settings in "manifest V3", but they need to avoid breaking the existing packs :/
28.01.2026 01:16 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Half the versioning bug reports are just me at this point, I swear! It's so frustrating.
They still aren't versioning it correctly, either. They should have bumped the min_engine_version of the entity files to prevent conflicts with old packs. Since they didn't do this, Console Aspects will break.
For the record, I am entirely content with small and visual-only drops. Bedrock Edition especially would really benefit from having the developers lay off the features for a while to focus on fixing the technical side of the game. It needs desperate help.
27.01.2026 23:56 โ ๐ 9 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It's really funny that everyone is complaining about a visual-only drop and meanwhile I'm panicking every time Mojang touches a mob that has existing changes in Aspects
Seriously, integrating these new baby mobs into Java and Console Aspects is going to take a lot of effort.

Minecraft Beta and Preview 26.10.20 is rolling out today!

No, this is not an option. The F3 screen has a lot of info that we can't simulate with resource packs.
25.01.2026 01:27 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0A screenshot of Bedrock Edition with Java Aspects enabled. AgentMindStorm is holding a spear and crouching to show that the spear has been fixed.
A screenshot of Console Aspects in a warm ocean. AgentMindStorm is drawing a crossbow while looking at a Zombie Nautilus to show that the drawing animation has been updated. There are also two mysterious, new spawn egg designs in the hotbar.
I'm excited to announce the next Java and Console Aspects update is feature-complete! All that's left to finish now is:
- Updated Textures (Console Aspects)
- Compatibility Mode (Both packs)
- Credits and Feature List updates
- In-game custom tab
- Webpage
The update will release in a few days!
This Patch also contains some highly-requested fixes for the base Festive Mash-up, like re-adding the animations that were forgotten when the pack was converted from Console Edition to Bedrock.
21.01.2026 14:13 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Check out all the new textures: youtu.be/RqRD1cyo_50
21.01.2026 14:10 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0A Cherry Grove in the Festive style. Cherry Leaves have red ornaments. There is also a player wearing Copper Armor and holding a Copper Spear. Copper Armor is reindeer-themed.
A Camel wearing large elf stockings and a sweater. The cacti around it have stars on top instead of Cactus Flowers.
A group of Nautili. They are all shrimp-themed. The Zombie Nautilus is cooked shrimp, and the Coral Zombie Nautilus is fried shrimp tempura.
A festive Pale Garden at nighttime. The pale oak trees and Creaking have white Christmas lights on them. The eyeblossom is a matryoshka doll, while pale hanging moss is paper snowflake chains.
I am super excited to announce the first release of the Festive Mash-up Patch! This pack is a continuation of the Festive Mash-up by 4J Studios, with new textures for features added after the original pack was discontinued.

THIS IS SO HYPE THANK YOU
21.01.2026 04:19 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I need to know if they fixed the bounce buffering "coyote time" to allow 2 player mode to function as intended
21.01.2026 01:36 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Very interesting to see fixes for the Villager Trade Rebalance! Hopefully this experiment can come to a conclusion soon :)
20.01.2026 16:21 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I did see that you are using some features from Aspects, like sugar cane coloring, hurt/fire overlay colors, and controller tooltips. Please add credit for these features.
14.01.2026 19:32 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I took a look inside your pack and saw that your documentation is modeled after my own!! That was such a wild feeling for me. Great work on this pack too.
14.01.2026 19:28 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thanks to everyone who voted for these bug reports! Both of these issues were fixed in the new 26.0.28 preview, so resource pack development is no longer extra difficult.
13.01.2026 18:21 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It's not even worse in any way. It's faster, it has fewer lag spikes, and the menus are more condensed without wasted space. It's amazing that Ore UI is solving 0 issues and creating many more.
13.01.2026 16:55 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0A screenshot from the changelog: Settings - Our settings have been been rebuilt using Ore UI and we are getting ready to ship these changes - Some settings are still in JSON UI and will be converted at a later stage
Mojang simply cannot resist the Microsoftian urge to ship features before they're ready, in incomplete states, with tons of negative feedback. Why is Bedrock Edition cursed in this way?
13.01.2026 16:50 โ ๐ 14 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I am still finishing the Console Aspects port. The Java Aspects update is basically ready to go.
12.01.2026 00:08 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Sort of, but I think the width of the body is also part of the issue. Rabbits are chunky in real life, but this feels extreme.
11.01.2026 00:31 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Nope, you have to wait for 26.0. Mojang broke imports in 1.21.120 too.
