DATV is one year old and I am just as obsessed today as I was a year ago, if not more so. UGH. I love this game, this universe, so damn much.

I really should get paid consulting fees when other school districts across the country contact me for help. XD Wtf, yo. I'm a nobody! Why are you contacting a nobody in the middle of nowhere for assistance? Because I actually do have the answer, I guess. Shrug.

Back to school this year has sucked balls so hard. Today's only day three and one of my coworkers has been stressing so hard she's made herself sick. I've been so tense my neck's been killing me and I've had massive headaches. I can't imagine how bad I'd be without my anxiety meds.. Geez. -_-

When recounting it all to her I remembered the Pizza Hut trip.

The guys INSISTED we got to Pizza Hut, then tried to tell us we ate pizza wrong. You must it eat it topping side down, otherwise you only taste crust and not the toppings.

It's fairly sound logic, really. But they're still heathens. XD

Had to give "fun facts" about myself for a staff meeting. The other staff were supposed to guess who the facts were about. One of mine was the time I spent a week in China, on tour with a band.

My boss was shocked. "How have I known you for 13 years and never known that?" Never came up?

I have little baby hair sticking up all over my head. While this means that my hair is indeed growing back it ALSO means that in general my hair appears to be a frizzy mess. Humidity doesn't help.

I've accepted that this is just going to be a bad hair year.

At work, 5 minutes left, glance at discord and see a newly posted piece of art of my video game husband....

Mistakes were made.

I've been giving myself a massive headache trying to solve a work issue. It's been several days and of course the business office didn't give me the answer I wanted to hear, which just made things more difficult for me.

Turns out I do my best thinking in the shower when I'm half awake.

Solved it!

And poor solo guy who has to do everything else! The only thing he can't do is construction. Everything else is on him until those babies grow up a little.

Now I have 3 adults and 3 infants. Those two mothers are working nonstop to keep those babies fed. One's a night owl, so they're literally working around the clock. They both cook, so they're doing nothing but cooking food for themselves and feeding the babies.

Poor ladies.

the woman just long enough for her to have her baby. Adopted the baby and sent the lady on her way. An adult and child wanted assistance. Adult was pregnant. Adult wanted to stay, child did not. Original pawn had her baby. Other one had her baby.

My poor Rimworld pawns. I play a very specific scenario set I created myself because I deemed the standard ones "too easy" so really I brought this on myself. But..

Had two pawns. Got knocked up. Had two refugees want help. One was pregnant. They betrayed me so I captured them. Let the guy go, kept

I also have to say that some of the things I'm proud of my dad for are really, really sad.

He didn't misgender or dead name my cousins. He very obviously danced around it and avoided using pronouns and names altogether, but hey! Progress?

Parents have left. I'm free!

Rufus knows what packing is. He knows it means I'm leaving him for.. well probably forever. While the parents were packing up their stuff, my snuggly lovebug refused to let me stop touching him. Now that they're gone and I'm still here, he wants nothing to do with me 😅

I only half jokingly told Mom that he could mow the lawn. I had every intention of doing it tomorrow morning. The kitchen... well that was completely on him.

The parents got here several hours before they were supposed to, while I was still at work.

My father cannot sit still. He mowed my lawn and cleaned my kitchen.

I gueeeesss that worth the hugs they'll make me take. 😅

My boss is trying to figure out how to bribe building administrators. They never freaking read their emails and most don't give her the info she needs by the time she needs it.

Right now the current bribe is a cookie tray.

Nutrition Services, bribing everyone with food.

Work is very work like. Standard "start of the new year" workload. Exhausting as usual. Things have gone mildly wrong, as usual.

I really wanted this weekend to myself. I think it's the last Friday we get off as part of our summer schedule and I'm so very peopled out.

I don't want more hugs! I got more hugs in the last week than I have in the last several years combined! I don't do touch! Staaaahp!

Sigh.

My parents are coming for two days, starting tonight, even though I JUST SAW THEM AT THE REUNION, MOTHER.

I have no real idea why they decided my place was a decent place to stop on their way home, but whatever.

My hair is also now green because fuck it. If I'm going to lose it anyway it might as well be a fun color. 😤

Due to malnutrition caused by my pancreatitis, my hair's been falling out. I've lost easily 2/3 of my hair by now. It IS growing back, but at the same time it's still falling out. The entirety of my hair is thinner than one of my mother's pigtails. -_- sigh.

So it's been a while, huh. Turns out I have a lot less spoons these days than I used to. -_-

Family reunion happened last week. It was about as expected. Loved seeing my family, hated where we were. I was reminded yet again that while I love my Dad he's still a huge asshat in many ways. -___-

I got my statement for my hospital stay. $162,394.04 for 15 days. My mother thinks that does not include the bill for radiology, etc, since those are usually billed separately.

Thankfully I do have insurance through work, so the "only" part I have to pay is $2,000.

American healthcare. 😑
