Switched to light mode on my iPhone and iPad after years of dark mode. Feels like walking out of a movie theater during the day into the sunlight. Getting used to how bright it is, but I really like the colors and looks of apps in light mode better.

Good write up on these! I'm personally struggling with whether to stick with my RSS reader (Reeder Classic) or totally move over to the new Reeder. I feel bad leaving Feedbin behind and not paying for that, but I don't think paying for both is necessary.

Has anyone studied how much alcohol consumption has increased in the US in the past 2 weeks and then cross referenced that by political affiliation? I would bet some solid money it’s way up. This dumpster fire is getting worse by the minute.

I really hope Sonos can actually fix the app. Half the time it can’t find my speakers.

Wired CarPlay ended up being iffy on that when I wasn't playing audio. I ended up using Toolbox Pro with an automation to set/update a global variable when CarPlay connects or disconnects, and then checking the value of that variable in my Action Button shortcut to know if I'm connected.

Really hoping more sports folks move over here to Bluesky. A lot of my favorite soccer feeds are here already, but golf, and Formula 1 particularly I'd love to see more of over here.

It's ok to unfollow people to try and get away from political discourse for a while. I'm mostly saying this for myself, but prioritizing your own mental health is important. It doesn't mean you don't care or that you don't want to see a positive change in the world.

If @openvibe.social synced timeline positions between devices, it would be the perfect app for using Bluesky and Mastodon

I have an older Sonos Play 3 that doesn't support AirPlay. The app is unusable 50% of the time for me with the older speaker, unfortunately. Sometimes it says I don't have any speakers, sometimes it just doesn't respond to changes. I was going to upgrade and buy more, but no confidence now.

Verified my domain and changed my handle here to @mattbanks.me. Pretty straightforward to do, and I'm happy that @bsky.app reserves your old username for you automatically.

I just said the same thing. I’m a big City fan and have had confidence they’re going to turn it around, but his one felt different. The last 15 minutes were absolutely painful to watch.
