Yup. I still say boo on Alberta, too, for electing Smith. Just like I say boo on Ontario, where I live, for electing a whiplash inducing, self serving, once fanboy of the orange turd, Doug Ford.
But I have hope that people can grow and do better - both here and in the States. Then I'll cheer.

Smith is still banging on her separatist drum. But people in her meetings still turn out in droves to oppose her agenda. She also had the audacity to suggest pulling out of the Canadian Pension Plan - it did not gain her traction. Polling, public and government show Albertans are Canadians first. 🤷‍♀️

Except in my example the 'athletes' are actual corrupt politicians running a country. Maine voted in a bad "player" in District 19, Senator Martin. So, boo Maine, boo USA.

He also spent decades working in the mining industry that took advantage in heavy conflict zones known for exploiting locals, such as Sierra Leonne and the Congo. He is also proudly part of a whites only brotherhood. I'd bet he and his mining cronies would love to get hands on Canadian resources.
