Texas Hold ‘Em… whether you’re exhausted by it on repeat or not… was HUGE! The biggest country song of the year in most people’s view; but the song, or the album it’s on wasn’t even mentioned at the awards ceremony. Because it makes conservatives uncomfortable and that’s the best thing. (5/?)

Societally, we NEED this kind of reclaiming mentally to take hold for a cultural shift. Beyoncé being totally SNUBBED at the Country Music Awards is absolutely a showing of the outright social war we are in as progressive against the limiting conservative mindset. (4/?)

And artists are 100% taking notice - Examples: Sabrina’s twang in Short N Sweet - A positive reception of Malone’s country album featuring similarly placed emphasis on country artist collaboration. Lana Del Ray’s timely country drop. Perhaps even Taylor Will capitalize on this shift. (3/?)
