writing is such a funny thing cause sometimes it gives amazing joy and other times it is the most soul sucking, painful experience ever

maybe there’s a broader problem with internet consumption w.r.t. feeling the need to contribute to the void. does that have something to do with the human condition, or have we *been* conditioned into it? what makes us feel like our voices are important? intrinsic value is a funny concept

i’ve recently decided that to keep a social media account i need to have a direct purpose for using it, and generally stick to that purpose. instagram is for memes, twitter is to connect with people who enjoy the same hobbies, reddit for answers to questions, etc

i actually somewhat disagree about your last statement. israel would still do what it’s doing in Gaza even without American dollars, it would just be with less advanced technology.

it’s annecdotal, but my travels to israel and the west bank have built that belief pretty soundly.
