Started writing around 9 and got into a zone. I look up and it's pushing 2am.

Noticing the time gave sleepiness the opportunity it was waiting on. Tomorrow the coffee maker is going to get a workout.

I'm more of a night writer (no pun intended). It's cool to see how different writers prefer different hours.

I'm glad to see I'm not alone.

Yes, for me it was a way to get my name out there.

It's also a cool way to try a new "thing" - writing style or whatever - and see how it's received.

3 hours of homework, reverse engineering the new math they're teaching my kids in school now.

1 hour of cooking dinner.

That is so cool.

You get to see the type of wildlife I have to watch the nature channels to find.

Researching for a story is fun!

I love learning about a new culture and digging into the nuances of how they do something.

Creating a MC who authentically does, says, or embodies that thing makes it all worth while. Maybe it's just me.

Yeah. This happened to me early in my writing career. -- I use the word career loosely -- and I totally abandoned the project.

I was still learning a lot of the writing concepts, so no big loss on my part.

Yep. Convo with myself went something like...

"UGH!!! Who is this dude? His story is so close to mine everyone is going to compare it. --Damn, it's pretty good.

UGH!!! Now, everyone is going to say his is better. I'm so done!"

Sigh...mine is social media. You're here too, huh?
